Professional Journey
An educator bringing together engineering, mathematics education, and specialized training in dyslexia and learning differences.
01
Engineering Background
My academic background began in engineering, where I developed the analytical and systematic approach that continues to shape my teaching. I bring that same emphasis on logic, structure, and problem solving to mathematics instruction, helping students understand not only how to solve a problem, but why the mathematics works.
02
Mathematics Education
My work as a mathematics educator includes classroom, small-group, and individualized instruction, with a focus on helping students build strong foundations and deeper conceptual understanding. I teach Pre-Algebra through Algebra 2 and emphasize mathematical reasoning, clear problem-solving strategies, and the connections between concepts so students can approach increasingly challenging mathematics with confidence and independence.
03
Dyslexia & Learning Differences
My work with students with dyslexia and learning differences includes experience in a specialized school setting, along with individualized instruction. I completed the Dyslexia Training Institute Certificate Program and am a Certified Barton Tutor. I continue advanced study in learning differences and educational therapy, which informs both my literacy instruction and the way I support students who benefit from explicit, structured teaching.
